dead iPod

by robert on March 7, 2005

attention whoever you are. this channel is reserved for emergency calls only…

when i got my first apple i was chuffed to bits. now i’m filling in a form their support site to return it – it’s dead [dave]. tried the reset they suggest, tried doing it with and without the charger… nothing. it’s completely dead.

not only am i now working from the corner of a bedroom because the my office is flooded, i’ve got no iPod to fill my life with tunes… looks like i’m back to shuffling CD’s around for a while…

i am, in a word, gutted.

robert.

update: iPod is now back with apple and i’m waiting to see their support site show me a “it’s fixed and on it’s way home!” message

update 2: iPod is apparently very dead indeed, the apple support site shows a status of ” Replacement Ordered”

What a shame! I worry about mine doing something like that. Hope it’s sorted soon!

er, yeah… sorry about the registration/moderation thing!? t’would appear that there is an option in wordpress that requires a comment author to have a comment moderated before they can post moderation free – and it’s checked by default. seems pretty sensible to me… try commenting again, see if you can post?

ps. and cheers for the iPod comment… i think a return envelope was delivered today but sadly ‘er indoors didn’t hear the doorbell so it’ll hopefully be re-delivered tomorrow
